Service and Travel Charges

Computer Tech services:

            A $50 deposit will be taken in store for all computer tech work. Work is billed at $75/hour.

Satellite Service charges:

Xplornet troubleshooting (for non-warranty cases), $125

            Shaw troubleshooting, $100 within 25kms of the Dryden store

            Shaw additional lines, $50/line

 

Travel rates are as follows:

For Xplornet:

  • To Sioux Lookout - $75, which covers within 25kms from the Sioux store.
  • To whitefish/Kejick/Frenchman's head - $75 from Sioux store ($150 total)
  • In Dryden - $1.25/km each way after 25kms

For Shaw:

  • To Sioux Lookout - $75 flat rate, $1.25/km each way from the Sioux store after
  • To whitefish/Kejick/Frenchman's head - $75 from Sioux store ($150 total)
  • In Dryden - $1.25/km each way

 

Any satellite work requests being done outside of the Dryden or Sioux Lookout areas may require hotel and/or travel fees (such as plane or train costs). These can be assessed on a case by case basis by calling the Dryden store.

 

If access to site is not accessible without 4x4, it is the customer’s responsibility to notify store 24 hours in advance of booking.  If installer assesses road/site access as being impassable or unsafe, work will not be performed and will require rebooking. Service work will be subject to rebooking if weather issues arise. Cut off for outside work is -20C and will be rebooked if forecasted. If lightning is present or forecasted, work will be rebooked.

Delays beyond the control of the installer including, but not limited to, road conditions, lake or ice conditions, or customer arranged travel such as boats, airplanes, or any other mode of travel will be billed at a rate of $50 per hour.

Mileage is non-refundable
